Salt Away

When flushing of marine further enhance the flushing process by using an engine flush, cleaner and corrosion inhibitor. There are 2 products available from local marine stores and both perform are excellent. The product names are Salt Away and Salt Terminator.

Both products can be purchased in a kit form, which includes a quart of concentrate and an inline 4-ounce garden hose mixer dispenser. You can also purchase 1 gallon jugs of the concentrate.

Both products can be used on inboard, inboard out board engines as well as outboards. Three to four ounces of concentrate is sufficient per engine and you flush the engine from 2 to 5 minutes. For inboard and I/O engines and some outboards will require the motor running to circulate the solution through out the motor in accordance with the manufacturer's fresh water flushing recommendations.

These products can be used to wash down all surfaces on your boat, fishing and dive gear and does not leave any surface scum or require the surface to be brushed to remove the salt during the cleaning process.

Less than a pint will clean a 30-foot boat, flush 2 engines and the A/C system and is harmless to all bright finished metal surfaces.
